Clearly the place to have local curry takeaway

Life is busy. Our days are spent running from one activity to the next. We try and keep Sundays free, a day to spend at home and putter around the house. Sundays seem like the perfect day to have something Indian curry delivery, filling the house with aromatic smells.

Now, I’m as much a foodie as I am a picky nutritionist and really enjoy eating at the places I am frequent for my meals. Curry World a takeaway in my neighbourhood, an Indian place in Lee Green. That said, I love eating out too much for my own sanity. So trying different cuisine is my passion.

The much appreciated takeaway which has been consistently offering discounts and offers made my interest go higher. Indian curry takeaways are usually made in a style that’s completely different from other takeaways and restaurants. It’s advisable to read some review beforehand. Especially if you are a food geek.

To start my meal, I picked some starters as I had no idea before what is Indian cooking style. The chicken tikka with prawn puri was delicious. Considering the size of the prawns I received, thought they were king prawns. The size of my hands. A big thanks there!

The biryani that I ordered was the curry world special consisting little pieces of chicken, vegetables, egg and an aroma that I never smelt before. Must be the buttered oil they used. It was good, trust me. It was good for two and I gobbled up the whole plate all by myself.

The side dishes were good too. The saag panir was good with the biryani and the hariyali mixed veggie was a good choice. No complains there either. To be honest the breads on the web looked really good and ordered a couple of traditional Indian breads. The garlic chilli naan was great but the letdown was I ordered a peshwari naan but it turned out to be garlic chilli. Wish I could try that one. But no complains, as the garlic chilli naan was really good with the saag panir. I had no problem having two.

Summary: If I am praising too much of the takeaway, then I might be right. The delivery system and the level of service that they provide is outstanding I must say. All in all the food was great except for the bread that got mixed up. The proportions were heavy considering it was for just a person. But if it were for two it would be great. So try to enjoy with friends or family I would say. Or give instruction on how many you are. It’s great to have left overs so I had no complains.

Note: try to order through their website. It’s always busy in their kitchen. I had to shout over the phone.
